Welcome! The instructions below will help you get started in TrueMotion Family, from setting up your Family, tracking your driving, and managing your privacy. Don't hesitate to reach out to us at email@example.com with your questions and comments!
To get started, you’ll want to invite some people to your Family (or accept an invite from a family member). We’ve seen that most people prefer to invite their immediate families to their family group in TrueMotion Family. Each Family starts with one “owner” who can add and remove members, and who can designate other owners. You can also leave any group you’re in at any time.
For each Family you’re in, you can see where you and other Family members are, and see their scores and trips (that little number on the edge of someone's hexagon is their score). Just tap on a Family member (or yourself) to see how their score breaks down. Protip: Pull the score tab up to see someone’s trips.
Trips and Scoring
About those trips: TrueMotion Family will automatically detect your drives. You don’t need to do anything before or during your trip. After your trip ends, it typically takes around 5-10 minutes for the trip to process and appear within the app.
Note that only trips where you’re the driver are scored. On the rare occasion where we misclassify one of your trips, you can fix it (and help us learn for next time) by selecting it from the list and tapping the trip classification icon in the upper right of the trip details screen.
If you don’t want people in your family to see where you are, hit the menu button in the upper left of the main map screen and tap on “Location Sharing.” From here you can pause sharing for each family you’re in. While location sharing is paused, other family members won’t be able to see where you are (you'll show up at your last shared location), or where your trips take place, but they will be able to see that you took trips and how you drove on those trips.
