Distracted Driving is a measurement of your focus on the road. Distraction behind the wheel is a leading cause of car crashes and is thought to be one of the main reasons behind the increase in United States crash rates after decades of decline. Suffice it to say, Distracted Driving is dangerous, and you should never do it.
TrueMotion Family detects phone use and interaction while driving, and shows those periods on the trip map as Distracted Driving. Our distraction detection is tuned to detect actions like texting, talking on the phone with it in your hand, and use of other apps. We generally exclude the following activities from our Distracted Driving measure: navigation use, handsfree Bluetooth phone calls and streaming music.
Your Distracted Driving score is the largest single factor in your total score, and the Distracted Driving rating indicates how often you're using your phone while you're driving, with a low score indicating more frequent distraction. Stay off your phone to keep your score up!
